[The] core point is one I happen to agree with - if a person is trying to make a case that the experience doesn't match, then throwing their support behind someone whose experience matches even less makes no sense. I have to ask what their real motivation is.
My problem has to do with the character of the debate, both in the news media and in my journal. ... I think the secret is in responding rather than reacting.
My sense of fairness demands that I say it publicly too. Real discourse on actual issues gets tough to do with all the barking and howling and reactionary behavior on the part of poli-tainment weenies masquerading as news professionals. They do more than muddy the waters of public discourse; they set a bad pattern for private discourse as well.
