I am getting so antsy. My group in Organizational Behavior has a group assignment due today, after a 3-day extension, and we're still waiting for one member to submit their section so we can post the composition. Augh! I -hate- group work!

Organizational Behavior is kicking my booty. This is a really intense course. There's so much reading and summarizing and commenting on other people's stuff, just to keep up with the for-credit stuff. I haven't even started studying. Gonna have two papers this term, too. And an end-of-term project. Dude, if it's like this now, I cringe at the thought of July, when I'll have two more courses heaped on.

Hope I can knock out Information Literacy before then. It's not the lightweight puff piece of a course I thought it would be. It's something a bit more like library science. But still, I think if I dedicate a few decent chunks of time to it, I can finish it up. It's just a little scary because the final exam is 100% of the grade. Hee!

However, I did start the reconciliation process at my old church, and have gone halfway through re-joining it. I got my pledge put in. Have to sign the book Sunday. I -had- planned on being at Holy Redeemer Sunday but the needful things need to get done.

Know what I want? I want a Firefox extension that, when you right click on an image, it uploads that image to an FTP location of your choosing and creates an img tag to that location. So's you can quickly grab and post images without hotlinking. That's what I want.

Dear Friends,

I have been watching the sad news of the cyclone devastation in Burma over the past few days and am appalled at the Burmese government's actions of greatly restricting international aid from coming in and helping the millions of people affected.

The United Nations Security Council can do something to force the Burmese military regime to accept international aid and this resolution needs to go through as soon as possible so that aid can start getting in. The money is pledged, people and supplies are waiting to go into the disaster areas, but the military regime is holding it up.

I sent an email to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon today urging him to make sure that this measure goes through - you can easily send an email as well. Please help!

Little bit terrified. Too many new things lately.

- I start my online class in Organizational Behavior Monday and have still not gotten all the way through the New Student Orientation course yet. I don't know how this thing works at all.

- I am signed up to speak at an Al-Anon speaker's meeting tomorrow. 15 to 25 minutes, depending on how long it takes the first speaker. Eek. All week long I've been meditating on what to say, how to say it, what parts of my life to cover in what order, etc. etc.

- I posted to my ministry filter that I contacted the people I'm supposed to contact to get my ministerial career rolling. This is exciting and scary in the same way that signing up for the Army was. May I get similar results.

- I've heard back from them. They're warm and all that, but I have a TON of stuff to do. Oh ye gods.

- My older kid is entirely pubescent and there are new developments in that arena. For instance, not long ago the key to my container of Naughty Things had gone missing from my key ring; this morning it mysteriously reappeared on the kitchen table. Only it's not so much a mystery because I saw my young man come in and set it down. We're Not Talking About It.

I started this entry early this afternoon, and now look. What a day. Goodnight!

Physical therapy

I realized I haven't posted about physical therapy. I've been going there for the knees. Apparently I'm all screwed up; when I flex the top of my thigh, my kneecaps head off sideways instead of up, which is the correct direction. My arches have gone flatter and the strong muscles of my legs are to the outside, meaning I've gone a bit knock-kneed, and the knees, already under attack by arthritis, do not like it one wibbly bit.

So the hideous tortures that the therapists are doing to me are designed to get all the rest of the muscles to step up to the plate and hold each knee up properly. And hideous they have been, for sure. Plus I'm running around with therapeutic things stuck on/under/between various appendages. This feels very weird. But the idea is that I could once again walk like a human with relatively reliable consistency. I'm for that!

Still need a rheumatologist. The whole entire overall all-my-joints-hurt thing has got to get looked at.

Waiting is hard. I got back my preliminary credit evaluation from Excelsior College. I have approximately 27 semester hours to go, theoretically. Full evaluation doesn't complete for another 6-8 weeks after enrollment; I enrolled Monday.

Yesterday I phoned the advisor's office to see if there's an expedite fee or somesuch. Some really sweet intern expained that there was no such, but that he'd move my packet up higher in the stack with a note that I'm trying to start the May term.

I'm not pregnant. Surely, nobody was fooled.

Monday I brought in Lefty, a betta from Mark's Ark. I tried hard to acclimatize him gently, but he died yesterday anyway. Maybe after the wedding trip (amorsalado + purplebard) when my schedule is 11 AM to 8 PM again, maybe then I'll give it another go.
